RULEARCH
Terms of Service
Effective September 20, 2026
1. Service
These Terms govern access to and use of RuleArch, a Shopify application that lets merchants configure, test, and publish rules affecting which existing delivery options appear at checkout. Rules can use merchant-defined product categories or types, schedules, destinations, and delivery-method names. Predefined perishable or cold-chain tags are optional.
2. Merchant responsibility
You must be authorized to install and configure RuleArch for the relevant Shopify store. You are responsible for product classification, fulfillment settings, carrier choices, rule configuration, testing, and compliance obligations applicable to your business.
3. Shipping limitations
RuleArch does not guarantee carrier performance, delivery times, product temperature, prevention of spoilage or damage, regulatory compliance, or live-weather suitability. Merchant-configured rules supplement rather than replace carrier service-level agreements.
4. Checkout fail-safe
RuleArch is designed to leave a delivery group unchanged if a RuleArch rule would hide every available option in that group. Other Shopify apps, Functions, carrier services, and platform configuration may independently affect checkout.
5. Shopify dependency
The service depends on Shopify APIs, Shopify Functions, Web Pixels, authentication, billing, checkout, and app-distribution systems. Shopify outages, limits, or platform changes may affect RuleArch.
6. Plans, trials, and billing
Paid plans are offered through Shopify. Prices, trial terms, included capabilities, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, taxes, refunds, and credits are governed by the plan presented to you and applicable Shopify billing behavior. Development stores may receive development access for testing.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use RuleArch unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, bypass Shopify security or billing controls, introduce malicious code, or use the service to infringe another party's rights.
8. Intellectual property
RuleArch software, branding, documentation, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only the limited right to use the service for authorized Shopify stores while access remains active.
9. Availability and support
The service is provided subject to maintenance, security events, third-party dependencies, and operational constraints. Support is available at support@perishguard.shop. Any contractual response-time or SLA commitment applies only when separately agreed in writing.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, Shopify enforcement, material breach, or non-payment. Merchants may stop using the service by uninstalling the app and managing any applicable Shopify subscription.
11. Privacy
Information handling is described in the RuleArch Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RuleArch is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every merchant's shipping or regulatory requirements.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of the RuleArch service will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount paid for RuleArch during the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited remains unaffected.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding mandatory protections that cannot be waived. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction unless the parties agree to another lawful dispute-resolution process.
15. Changes
These Terms may be updated as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when revised Terms are published.
